Bargain books: Friends of Library sponsor used book sale

Holmes County Friends of Library used book sale will be at the Central Library of the Holmes County District Public Library, 3102 Glen Drive, Millersburg, Friday and Saturday, Oct. 26 and 27.

Members of the Friends of the Library can shop early from 6 to 8:30 p.m. tonight. It's time for the fourth and final book sale of 2018 since they changed the format to a big sale inside Marvin Auditorium every 3 months or so.


Thousands of items will be set up in the Yusunas Room and the Zimmerman Room in the lower level of the library, 309 Oak St.in DeKalb.

Prices range from 25 cents for children's books and mass market paperbacks, to $1 for trade and large paperbacks, and $1.50 for hardcover books. Proceeds benefit the Friends of the Fort Smith Public Library, which provides supplemental funding for library programs, materials and more. There also will be some specially priced books. Joining the group is a way to make new friends, make the library even better and give back to the community.
