Days Gone Delayed to April 2019 Due to Crowded February

Days Gone PS4 Play Station 4

Two of those titles as PSVR-only, leading some to wonder if these games, Ghosts of Tsushima and TLOU are part of the PS4's final wave.

Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced a new release date for some of their upcoming first-party projects includes Days Gone. And then there was Days Gone.

As usual with delays, Sony added that Bend Studio will be taking the extra time to apply further polish to the title.

It was originally slated for a 2018 release before being pushed back to February 2019.

Interestingly, Sony acknowledges the highly competitive late February release window, which already includes three heavy hitters on February 22: Metro Exodus, Anthem, and Crackdown 3. Look for dates on some of these around next year's E3.

The delayed release date should also give PS4 owners enough time to polish off the likes of Devil May Cry 5, The Division 2 and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. Hopefully, we'll find out in April.

While it would've probably held up against the competition, the publisher has made a decision to delay Deacon's violent road trip to 26th April 2019. It will be the studios first gaming title since the release of their last project, Uncharted: Fight for Fortune, which was released in 2012 for the Playstation Vita. Pixelopus' "Concrete Genie" is targeting an early 2019 release. The former is Pixelopus's artful adventure game about a boy named Ash who paints creatures and worlds with a magic paintbrush to escape the troubles of his real life. Bend Studio's last game was Uncharted: Golden Abyss for the PlayStation Vita in 2012.

"The studios are hard at work polishing up these epic PS4 games, but we aren't yet ready to share a release timeframe". The reason provided is the usual industry talking point of polishing the game further.

Days Gone is a post-apocalyptic thriller set in America's Pacific Northwest.
