Eden Hazard 'happy' to see out career with Chelsea

The Belgian was considering leave Stamford Bridge until he spoke to the Italian

"When I was in Lille I always said I want to go one day in England because it is my dream league, because the English league is very hard, and then one day try to move (to) Spain", Hazard told Sky Sports ahead of Chelsea's Premier League clash with Manchester United on Saturday.

When asked about Hazard's future, Sarri said: "It will be very important for us if he remains". "And so it will be very important for us if he will remain with us".

If no contract extension is agreed by the end of this season, Chelsea could see Hazard leaving on a free transfer at the end of the following campaign, so an agreed move could yet be in the interest of the club as well as the player.

'Also, I think he can win everything without playing in Spain.

"Because, for example, if Chelsea were able to win the Champions League, Belgium won the European Championships, he would be able to win everything, without playing in Spain".

But Sarri has dismissed this claim and urged his star man to remain at the club.

'I don't know what to say, ' chuckled the Italian.

"I think in the first part of the season, David (Luiz) and Antonio (Rudiger) have played very well, so it's not easy to change". So I don't think so.

Sarri also dismissed reports that Chelsea have chose to replace Alvaro Morata in January after the Spaniard's underwhelming start to the new season; he has found the net three times in 11 appearances across all competitions this season and been benched in favour of Olivier Giroud. "I am completely focused on improving my team and my players". In the last month, I think Morata has played better.
