Pakistan to take on Australia in final Test on Tuesday

Australia will play third Test against England in Melbourne

With Usman Khawaja back in the dugout, along with nightwatchman Peter Siddle, Aaron Finch and Shaun Marsh will have to bat for long to settle their side and turn tides back in their favour on Day 2.

Earlier, Fakhar and Sarfraz found form with fighting knocks after Australia spinner Nathan Lyon (4-78) had rocked Pakistan in the morning session, taking each of his four wickets in the space of six balls with the score on 57.

The visitors started this test in equal fashion with a stunning 11-minute period by offspinner Lyon.

First to go was arguably Pakistan's best batsman in Azhar Ali who's ill-advised charge down the wicket gifted Lyon a simple catch, before Haris Sohail was smartly caught by Travis Head the very next delivery. Lyon has figures of 4-58. In the process, Lyon surpassed former paceman Mitchell Johnson to move to fourth on Australia's list of all-time leading wicket-takers with 314. Zaman survived being dropped on 30 by Labuschagne off an irked Jon Holland, and later a close run out.

Labuschagne, who took a juggling grab to remove Mohammad Hafeez off Mitchell Starc in the third over, also dismissed Sarfraz.

After crashing to 57-5 in the first session, Pakistan outsmarted Australia in the second session through Zaman and Ahmed as they scored 127 runs. It ended a remarkable 147-run, sixth-wicket stand lasting 37 overs.
