Pregnant Meghan cuts back on royal engagements to rest

Harry and Meghan were joined by Prime Minister Scott Morrison

Britain's Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, visits the new ANZAC memorial in Hyde Park, Sydney, Saturday.

Prior to attending the Invictus' opening night program, the royal couple made a visit to the famous open-air venue during the day, clad in matching Invictus polos and casual trousers.

Prince Harry is carrying out several engagements without his wife after the Duchess of Sussex chose to scale back her plans on the royal tour.

A Royal source told ABC News that "she's feeling fine but resting".

Meghan did attend an Invictus reception and a sailing event on Sunday.

The mother-to-be opted to rest following a late night on the forecourt of the Sydney Opera House, after an electrical storm delayed the launch event of the Games. She said she was up at 4:30 am this am doing yoga in her room as she couldn't sleep.

The Palace said earlier this week that medical advice had been sought and the Duchess of Sussex would still travel.

The Invictus Games - an event Harry founded in 2014 as a way to honor the healing power of sports for wounded and recovering service members and veterans - bear a sort of special resonance for the couple, who made their first official public debut at last year's ceremonies. We have to make sure she is well-paced and not overdoing it.

Prince Harry founded the Invictus Games in 2014 as an worldwide competition for wounded veterans and current members of militaries around the world.

Mr Alcott, who is a triple Paralympic gold medallist in wheelchair tennis and wheelchair basketball, said: "He [Harry] said: "Shall I put them on?'. Harry got his presented to him this morning by one of the other competitors".

Meghan was back with Harry at the opening ceremony of the Invictus Games - this time in Sydney - on Saturday, October 20.

Prince Harry and Meghan are scheduled to arrive in Hervey Bay on Monday before heading to Fraser Island, a World Heritage-listed site and largest sand island in the world.

"My first job [was] when I was 14", Meghan said, per Hannah Furness of The Daily Telegraph.
