Tanushree Dutta files FIR against Nana Patekar

Director Vikas Bahl has been accused of sexually harassing a woman crew member

"Thereafter, the police recorded a statement of her father and lodged an FIR for rioting and causing damage to her auto", her lawyer Nitin Satpute told News18 in Mumbai. She alleged that co-star Nana Patekar pretended to teach her few dance steps and touched her inappropriately.

Her Bollywood career did not last very long but she got famous with her bold character in Aashiq Banaya Aapne where she was starred opposite Emraan Hashmi. She accused Nana of sexually harassing her while they were rehearsing for an item number of the film Horn Ok Pleassss.

The shooting of the song, which was choreographed by Ganesh Acharya and his assistant Daisy Shah, started at Goregaon's Filmistan Studios from March 23, 2008, the complaints states.

Dutta added that she felt "uncomfortable and embarrassed" as a result of his "inappropriate behaviour" and that he had "outraged her modesty". The commission also wrote to Mumbai police, seeking information on the action it had taken on Dutta's complaint.

When Dutta refused to perform the new "intimate steps" with Patekar and retreated to her vanity van, she claimed that Siddiqui threatened to "defame me in the film industry and boycott me". As she left, she claimed that, Siddiqui had already called the media and workers of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena who chanted slogans and banged on her vehicle, allegedly preventing her from leaving the premises.

In 2008, Tanushree's father Tapan Kumar Dutta had filed an FIR when she allegedly underwent the ordeal and her vehicle was attacked while exiting the sets of "Horn Ok Pleasss". Her lawyer also said that the actress had received threats and was "pressurised to not take any action". I accept it is in man's nature.

"After the incident, I was in tremendous shock, I suffered psychological trauma, was unable to take up work, suffered huge monetary losses running in crores and therefore I made a decision to take action through the film industry by lodging a written complaint with the Cine and TV Artistes Association". Her lawyer stated that many parts of the complaint were not mentioned and the FIR was filed only for the offence of causing damage to her vehicle and riot.
