#21 Farmingdale State to Face #13 Brandeis in First Round of NCAA's

UNC, NC State, Duke among 10 ACC teams picked for NCAA women’s soccer tournament | News & Observer

Baylor, the Big 12 regular season champions and tournament runners up, will host Abilene Christian at Betty Lou Mays Soccer Field this weekend as a #2 seed in the 2018 NCAA Women's Soccer Tournament.

BU could stay home for the first three matches of postseason, with a win over ACU moving the Bears on to face the victor of Vanderbilt (15-3-1) and Murray State (13-4-1) the following weekend.

The victor of USF-Albany will move on to play the victor of No.1-seed Florida State vs. Loyola Chicago on November 16. MSU then claimed a 2-1 victory over SC, a Final Four team past year, in the second match of conference play.

"We're obviously very excited about being in the NCAA Tournament again", SC head coach Shelley Smith said.

Even though MSU didn't make the Southeastern Conference Tournament, senior Carly Mauldin thought the NCAA committee would smile on the Bulldogs because of the RPI. The Nittany Lions won their first national championship in 2015 at that very venue.

"When you look at some of the factors that get us into the tournament, our team has done well in the tournament", Moynihan said.

This is the second time in school history that Arkansas has been selected as a host site for the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

The University of Chicago women's soccer team faced off against a top-ranked Wash U team that, with this match, completed its regular season with a record of 17-0-0. The Falcons beat Ball State 5-4 in penalty kicks to win the MAC championship following a 1-1 draw.

Janessa Fowler was named tournament MVP, while Taryn Miller, Alexa Coyle, Taylor Hansen and Claire Howard were all voted to the all-tournament team. I still haven't comprehended it. "I've been saying it and I believed it, but I still can't believe it happened".

Bowling Green enters Friday's game 14-4-3 on the season.

They're headed to Raleigh to play North Carolina State (10-6-3, 3-5-2 ACC) in the first round on Friday in the program's fourth consecutive NCAA Tournament.

Coyle scored in the 63rd minute to bring Montana within a goal, but Maegan O'Neill answered less than eight minutes later with an insurance goal for Washington State, which had a 20-7 advantage in shots.
