British Singer Morrissey Reportedly Attacked at San Diego Concert

New Song Blue Dreamers Eyes

Morrissey, the British singer, says all is well after an apparently over-excited fan rushed onto stage during his show in San Diego Saturday night.

During a San Diego concert over the weekend, a group of concert-goers rushed the stage and supposedly punched Morrissey in the face.

After reports of the incident began to emerge inline this afternoon, Morrisey took to social media to deny that a fan attacked him in a statement issued through his manager Peter Katsis.

Security quickly intervened and whisked Morrissey off stage, ending the show. Katsis disputes claims that Morrissey was attacked by a fan, saying "Morrissey's fans are not malicious".

Later the representative of the musician, commenting on the event said: "Fans just doing what they have been doing for 30 years". Security was able to wrangle a few people away, while Morrissey reached so they could touch him. In an admittedly scary video captured of the moment, a fan can be seen climbing on the stage and attempting to touch Morrissey before a security guard fended her off. That's all it was.

It went down at the San Diego Symphony Hall, as the singer was about to do an encore at the end of his performance. His management claims that nobody was hurt or arrested. It concluded an outstanding set of U.S dates and I am absolutely thrilled.
