'Dumbo' is Welcomed into the Circus in New Trailer

'Dumbo' Trailer: Tim Burton's Live-Action Remake Soars

Thanks to the latest trailer for Tim Burton's live-action remake of Dumbo, you'll still believe a horribly depressed elephant can fly!

Being loosely inspired by the treasured, iconic 1941 animated film, the live-action Dumbo again follows the trials and tribulations of a baby elephant whose ears are too got dang big for his head.

Unlike Tim Burton's previous outings as a director, Disney's Dumbo is radiating with positivity and dreams.

But the main point of heartbreak remains the absolutely shattering separation scene where Dumbo's mother is sold off; a scene which the trailer hints at, and looks to be just as devastating as the original. But the new Dumbo trailer is here to remind you that this movie is coming out, and that we'll get to see Farrell in at least one upcoming big-budget fantasy movie.

You won't get to see much in the way of flight, though we do explore more of the story, which finds Circus owner Max Medici (Danny DeVito) enlisting former star Holt Farrier (Colin Farrell) and his children Milly (Nico Parker) and Joe (Finley Hobbins) to care for a newborn elephant whose ears make him a laughingstock in an already struggling circus. Dumbo opens in theaters on March 29, 2019. Michael Keaton plays the bad guy, V.A. Vandevere who brings on Dumbo for a new amusement park of sorts called Dreamland. Also, I wasn't aware that DeVito and Keaton were involved (many have pointed out the Batman Returns reunion with Burton), making this way more promising than I was expecting! The trailer includes a small glimpse at the scene where Dumbo's mother's hugs her baby through the cages with her trunk, and it's sure to be as heartbreaking as it was during your childhood.
