Erdogan: Turkey shared Khashoggi tapes with Saudi, US and others

Jamal Khashoggi case New details surface

"We have not been able to get answers from Saudi Arabia about who ordered the murder", the minister said, stressing that President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is confident that King Salman Bin Abdulaziz did not order Khashoggi's murder.

There may be no remains of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi's "dissolved" body and Turkish officials are calling for an Islamic prayer for the murdered, Middle East Eye, citing Turkish sources, reported on Thursday.

"We gave the tapes".

"We gave the recordings, we gave them to Saudi Arabia, we gave them to Washington, to the Germans, to the French, to the English". They have listened to all the conversations in them. Riyadh said that 18 people had been arrested due to their suspected involvement in the incident, and that they would be put on trial in Saudi Arabia.

The residence is at walking distance from the Saudi consulate, where Khashoggi, a Washington Post columnist critical of the Saudi government and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, was killed by a team of Saudi officers and officials.

According to Turkish public prosecutor Irfan Fidan, Khashoggi was "strangled as soon as he entered the consulate" in sync with "premeditated plans" and that his body was "subsequently destroyed by being dismembered, once again confirming the planning of the murder".

"There's no need to distort this issue, they know for certain that the killer, or the killers, is among these 15 people".

Erdogan also accused Mojeb - who visited Istanbul to discuss the investigation with his Turkish counterpart and make inspections in the Istanbul consulate- of refusing to cooperate, in turn delaying the inquiry.

"The new Saudi totalitarianism, which requires complete subservience and loyalty to the crown prince, has culminated in the scandal of Khashoggi's murder", Al-Rasheed wrote.
