Facebook Admits It ‘Encourages’ Employees to Use Android Smartphones, Not iPhones

A right-leaning news site called the NTK Network, affiliated with Definers, published "dozens of articles" that criticized Apple as well as Google "for unsavory business practices", including one that slammed Cook for hypocrisy over his stance on privacy, per the New York Times.

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg appears to have a announced a full-blown war against Apple CEO Tim Cook by reportedly asking its employees to boycott Apple products.

Cook said that Apple wouldn't traffic in a customer's personal life and that privacy was a human right. According to The New York Times (via CNET), the command came after Apple CEO Tim Cook criticized the way some companies use customer data to make money. What prompted this weird decision was a comment by Apple CEO Tim Cook, in which he took a subtle jibe at the social media company for being in the middle of the biggest data security scandal in history, the Cambridge Analytica controversy.

Cook had criticised Facebook for its mishandling and commercialisation of consumer data, adding that the time may have been over for self-regulation of how companies handle personal information.

When asked what he would have done if he was in place of Zuckerberg, Cook had said, "I wouldn't be in this situation".

It looks like Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has put Apple CEO Tim Cook on the naughty list this holiday season. "I think it's important that we don't all get Stockholm syndrome, and let the companies that work hard to charge you more, convince you that they actually care more about you, because that sounds ridiculous to me". "So there's been no need to employ anyone else to do this for us", Facebook said.
