Flight Attendant Breastfeeds Passenger's Crying Baby

Patrisha Organo 24 breastfeeding a strangers child during a flight. An air hostess stepped in to breastfeed a stangers crying baby- after the childs mother ran out of milk on a domestic flight Patrisha Organo 24

Organo said of her own breastfeeding journey, that she experienced days when she wanted to give up - but is glad that she continued, noting that she has a strong supply of milk, which helped her nurse the crying child on the plane. Sadly, there was no formula milk on the flight which meant feeding the hungry crying infant was not going to be possible.

She realized that she had been right-the flight was going to be special. But flying without breast milk or formula on hand to satiate a hungry baby makes for an especially stressful situation. In fact, the Human Milk Banking Association of North America collects and pasteurizes breast milk for mothers who can't breastfeed their own babies. It turns out that it would be a momentous flight for her in another way. The child ate greedily, and then fell asleep.

"The helplessness you feel when you can not feed your hungry child is frightful, so I had to step in", said the mum-of-one. "I saw the relief on her mother's eyes", she added.

The stewardess said the mother was so grateful for helping her out afterwards and "sincerely" thanked her for 'all her help'.

She informed the flight's line administrator, Sheryl Villaflor, of her plan, and Villaflor assisted the mom to the galley, where the flight attendant breastfed the baby. Organo chose to breastfed the passenger's baby herself.

The flight attendant, who has a almost one-year-old daughter at home, heard an infant fussing after takeoff.

The passenger and her baby had been at the airport since 9.00pm the previous night, and Patrisha stepped in to help by breastfeeding the baby.

As of this writing, the post has garnered 108,000 likes and 21,023 shares.

'I breastfed a stranger's baby in flight, and I am just so thankful for the gift of a mother's milk at times of need'.

Organo received massive support for her demonstration in the wake of sharing her story on Facebook and in excess of 22,000 individuals shared her post. But she never imagined it would turn out like this. For this selfless, generous act, she absolutely deserves all the praise coming her way.
