Fossil Sport watch announced with Wear 3100 and ultra lightweight body

Fossil launches Fossil Sport, a Wear OS smartwatch running the Snapdragon 3100 - GSMArena.com news

Fossil Sport seems to have a few things going for it: It's not too expensive at $255 (about £200 or AU$350), it claims to be the lightest Wear OS watch and it has lots of extras.

The company says the 350 mAh unit, with the help of Wear 3100, will be able to eke out a day of life based on the "full smartwatch experience", which we assume includes some HR tracking and Global Positioning System. According to Fossil, the Sport will last a full day in full smartwatch mode and then an additional two days in a low-power, time-telling only mode. Meanwhile, the Fossil Sport launches with six colorways, two case sizes (41 and 43 mm), plus a variety of strap options.

Under the hood, the Fossil Sport comes with a built-in heart rate sensor, GPS, and NFC for payments with Google Pay. "The Fossil Sport smartwatch represents our best efforts yet, made possible through the combination of Qualcomm's world class Snapdragon Wear 3100 platform and Fossil's ingenious pulse of the evolving consumer needs". We don't have the exact weight or display resolution just yet, but we've asked Fossil for clarification on this. The fitness-oriented Wear OS device will run the latest version of Wear OS with a revamped fitness and navigation UI. The recently announced Wear OS Spotify app will also, Fossil says, be pre-loaded onto the watch for use straight out of the box as will personal safety app Noonlight.

The Fossil Watch becomes officially available on Fossils website starting today, November 8 and will b e available in select Fossil retail stores around the globe on November 12.
