Google Chrome to soon prevent you from unknowingly subscribing to services

Google Chrome

The new update -Chrome 71- will arrive on Google Chrome browsers next month.

When Google identifies these pages the webmaster will get notified through the Search Console. Site owners will have 30 days to fix experiences flagged by the Report before Chrome removes ads.

UPDATED Google is planning to roll out tougher sanctions against websites featuring deceptive content with the release of Chrome 71, an upcoming edition of its browser software due out next month.

At these warning pages, users can decide whether they want to ignore the warning and proceed, or go back to the previous page they were at.

Found yourself subscribed to a shady ringtone service? Also, the developers are asked to be sure that the billing information is visible on all types of devices.

In a bid to scam users, there are web pages that give inadequate information about their subscription services.

Specifically, Google says it will target mobile billing services, which place additional charges on a user's monthly bill without their full knowledge or consent. Starting with Chrome 71, Google will show a full-page warning to users who access web pages that come with deceiving mobile subscription forms.

Costs displayed to customers before accepting the terms: It needs to be clear what users will be charged by subscribing.

Google's definition of abusive experience includes phising, fake messages, actions that auto-direct with no user action, and any unexpected areas for click-bait.

Sites that did not meet Chrome's new requirements will end up in the search engine showing the warning page and portraying the side as potentially malicious one before a user enters the site.

Chrome informed that sites will be required to make billing information, including telling users how much they will be charged, what they will be charged for, for how long, and ensuring those details are clear and visible to users, wrote Mashable.
