Rhianna warns Trump against using her songs at his rallies

PITTSBURGH PA- SEPTEMBER 16 Neil Young answers questions during 2017 Farm Aid

Other musicians who've contacted Trump's team to tell him to please do stop using their music include Adele, Sir Elton John, Neil Young, The Rolling Stones, Twisted Sister and Queen as well as the estates of Prince, George Harrison estate and Luciano Pavarotti.

The "Umbrella" singer found out the Trump administration played her hit song "Don't Stop the Music" at the weekend event in Chattanooga, Tenn., after The Washington Post's Philip Rucker tweeted about the incident.

Rose isn't the first singer to protest against Trump, since on November 04, "Umbrella" singer Rihanna raised her voice against Trump for using her song "Please don't stop the music" in one of his rallies.

The move comes a week after Pharrell Williams sent Trump a cease-and-desist letter after his song, "Happy", was played at a rally just hours after last month's Pittsburgh synagogue shooting. "Not for much longer...me nor my people would ever be at or around one of those tragic rallies", she said, thanking the fan for the heads up.

The internet was quick to praise the nine-time Grammy victor for taking a stance.

Ahead of Tuesday's midterm elections in the US, Rihanna has endorsed Andrew Gillum, the Democratic candidate for the governor of Florida.

According to The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP), venues such as convention centres, arenas and hotels normally have public performance licenses, but they often exclude music used during conventions, expositions and political rallies. Trump has used the Aerosmith songs "Dream On" and "Livin" on the Edge' in his rallies.

"It has come to our attention that President Trump has utilized [Rihanna's] musical compositions and master recordings, including her hit track 'Don't Stop the Music, ' in connection with a number of political events held across the United States", the star's legal team said in a letter to the president's White House counsel, Rolling Stone reported on Monday night. He made his political perspective clear earlier in the week by tweeting, "Vote Blue".
