Woman dubbed 'South Park Susan' in racist viral video faces additional charges

Susan Westwood 51 reportedly turned herself in to police in Sunset Beach Nort Carolina on Saturday after she was seen ranting racist remarks in a viral video

Two women, Chele and Leisa Garris who were waiting on AAA outside a local parking lot in North Carolina, US due to vehicle trouble. Charlotte-Mecklenburg police tell CBS affiliate WBTV that 51-year-old Susan Westwood was served with outstanding warrants Saturday after contacting police in coastal Sunset Beach.

The charges stem from an incident October 19.

Another white woman in St. Louis was sacked from her job after a video went viral in which she blocked a black man from entering his own apartment building. One of the women is a tenant at the apartment building, which Westwood apparently doubted that a Black person could afford.

The dispatcher told Westwood that the women were waiting for their auto to be serviced after it broke down and she responded, "Nobody breaks down their vehicle in the best part of society". Both lived at the complex, the only difference between them- their skin color.

An emergency dispatcher was heard telling Westwood that first responders received a call about someone's auto breaking down at the location Westwood indicated.

Police charged Westwood with misuse of the 911 system after listening to the calls from the night two women said she harassed them while they waited outside their apartment.

She then called 911 and alleged the Garris sisters were attempting to break into homes, according to to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.

"There's no auto broken down". Westwood, in response, said the situation was "weird" and she was "concerned".

She faces charges she communicated threats and misused the 911 network. She added that "there's no auto broken down, there's somebody trying to cause problems". This is, this is, get them out of here.

"I'll tell you what, I'll pay $2,500 to get them out of here". "Do I need to bring out my concealed weapon too?" asked Westwood at one point during the encounter.

Westwood also cursed at the dispatcher during the call.
