'Would Never Forgive Trump,' Says Michelle Obama

Former US first lady Michelle Obama attends the United State of Women Summit at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles

But the former first lady said what hurt her the most during that campaign were the relentless and blatantly false allegations that Barack was "a secret Muslim, born overseas". "What if that person went looking for our girls?" the mother of two wrote in the book, according to ABC News.

Trump retaliated on Friday in a White House press spray, saying he won't forgive Barack Obama for "what he did" to the USA military.

"The whole thing was insane and mean-spirited, of course, its underlying bigotry and xenophobia hardly concealed", the former First Lady wrote. "And for this, I'd never forgive him", she wrote. It was "deliberately meant to stir up the wingnuts and kooks", Obama said. "She got paid a lot of money to write a book, and they always insist that you come up with controversial", Trump said. "(...) What he did to our military made this country unsafe". Michelle Obama wrote. "Donald Trump, with his loud and reckless innuendos, was putting my family's safety at risk".

It is one of the most awaited books about USA politics in years, and Obama does not mince words about her husband's successor - and his involvement in promoting the idea that Barack Obama was born overseas.

Michelle also thought back to the first time she saw the infamous Access Hollywood tape, in which Trump is heard bragging about sexually assaulting women.

But she was more than impressed after meeting him, by his "rich, even sexy baritone" and by his "strange, stirring combination" of serenity and power.

Obama also describes her private struggles and triumphs in the book, including her romance with her husband, their difficulties having children - including a miscarriage and that their daughters were conceived through in vitro fertilization - and her work to make the Office of the First Lady her own, the Post reports. "You know what I mean". "We had to do IVF".

She writes that when she finally allowed him to kiss her, "this unusual mix-of-everything-man" set off a "toppling blast of lust, gratitude, fulfilment, wonder".

Mrs Obama writes that they met with a counsellor "a handful of times", and she came to realise that she was more "in charge" of her happiness than she had realised.

Upon Trump's election, the Obamas faded from the spotlight for a time, retreating to their mansion in an upscale area of the U.S. capital and refraining from overtly political statements.

Michelle's book, 'Becoming Michelle, ' is about to be released, and she is extremely candid about her marriage, saying 20 years ago she felt "broken" after suffering a miscarriage.
