'Celebrity Big Brother' Star Jasmine Lennard Accuses Cristiano Ronaldo of Abuse

English model Jasmine Lennard vows to expose Portugal international Cristiano Ronaldo

Las Vegas authorities have issued a warrant for soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo's DNA in connection with a rape investigation, the Wall Street Journal reports on Thursday.

Portuguese soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo has denied new accusations of drastic emotional abuse levelled against him by Celebrity Big Brother alum Jasmine Lennard.

A key piece of evidence in the investigation is a dress from the night in question nine years ago.

Las Vegas police reopened the case past year after Mayorga claimed she had been raped by the footballer in a hotel suite after a night spent partying in 2009.

Ronaldo firmly denies the claims and is offering police full cooperation, including providing a DNA sample, USA news outlet TMZ Sports reports, citing sources close to the player.

The 33-year-old's lawyer, Peter S. Christiansen, told BBC Sport it was a "very standard request".

Inside the document, Cristiano Ronaldo was said to have offered Kathryn Mayorga £287,000 for her not to speak about anything that happened between the two of them in Las Vegas. Once the warrant is served in Italy, authorities there are expected to obtain a sample of Ronado's DNA before shipping it to police in Las Vegas. Once there, say the court papers, he urged her into his hot tub, but she refused because she did not want to spoil her dress.

Mayorga set aside her anonymity to reveal the full details of her story to Der Spiegel, intent on getting the 2010 settlement voided on the grounds that it was never legally binding, as well as finding out if there were other victims of Ronaldo alleged abuse and mistreatment.

Ronaldo, then 24, was on vacation in Las Vegas and met Ms. Mayorga in the Rain nightclub at the Palms Casino Resort before inviting her to a party in his suite, according to her civil complaint. According to court papers, the footballer confirmed that they did have sexual intercourse, but said that it was a consensual act.
