Dave Grohl chugs a beer… then falls off the stage

Dave Grohl falls off stage after chugging beer

Grohl and the boys performed Wednesday night in Las Vegas as part of the massive consumer electronics show CES 2019 when the singer slipped and fell from the stage.

Grohl then placed it on top of a speaker where he tried to drink from the can hands-free while he continued his guitar solo.

Grohl told radio station KLOS-FM he knocks back four beers and a handful of shots backstage as he waits to make his grand entrance with his bandmates.

Matthew, the Californian Foo Fighters fan who caught the fall on camera, said: "There was a bar and bartenders just to the right of the stage, so about halfway into the show, the video shows Dave coming over and placing a drink order at the bar".

Thankfully, two security guards were nearby to pick the 49-year-old frontman back up and get him back onto the stage. It didn't go very well, as Grohl headbutted the can and spilled possibly 50 cents worth of suds, so our protagonist grabbed the sucker and chugged. The rocker appeared fine and even did a light jog back to his normal position to finish out the show.

The former Nirvana drummer was forced to pull his band's headlining set at Glastonbury in 2015 - with Florence + The Machine stepping in for the slot at the music extravaganza in Somerset, England - after breaking his leg on stage at the Ullevi Stadium in Gothenburg, Sweden.
