Samsung News Room seemingly confirms Samsung Galaxy F launch date

Samsung’s Galaxy S10 and Foldable Phone Could Launch Next Month

Galaxy S10 has been rumoured to arrive in at least three models, a move that would mark a huge divergence from recent Samsung tradition.

Samsung Galaxy fans know that the company releases its upgrades in the month of February every year.

See what we mean?

It is widely expected that the show will centre on the upcoming Galaxy S10 and we expect the leaks about this smartphone to intensify in the coming weeks.

While the firm has typically unveiled standard and Plus models of its S-line of handsets in recent years, it seems the Galaxy S10 may also be available in a cheaper variety. The good money is on Samsung releasing a whopping four smartphones at its Unpacked event on February 20, and now we might know a little more about the mysterious 5G model. A number of signs suggest that all phones will feature a punch hole sAMOLED display, improved cameras, either Exynos 9820 or Snapdragon 855 processor, up to 8GB RAM, up to 1TB onboard storage, and OneUI with Android 9.0.

The outlet also declared the device in question will have the ability to wirelessly charge other devices that sit on its rear, similar to the functionality now offered by the Huawei Mate 20 Pro.

An early unveiling date means that the Galaxy S10 series will end up going on sale early as well. All three regular Galaxy S10 models will go on sale in March, while the fourth model with 5G connectivity may hit the market in the Spring.

Samsung Electronics Co. plans to unveil its 10th anniversary flagship phone lineup and show a fully functional foldable-screen handset at February 20 events in San Francisco and London, according to people familiar with the matter. Basically, because phone size continues to expand with each new generation, Samsung chose to overhaul the interface to accommodate our hands that aren't growing at the speed of smartphones. Meanwhile, a small startup named Royole is already selling a foldable smartphone in China. The device was a prototype to showcase Samsung's Infinity Flex display technology and it worked rather slickly thanks to Samsung's new One UI which helps apps and interfaces respond to the fold/unfold actions.

If the WSJ report is to be believed, Samsung may also announce the long-awaited foldable smartphone in San Francisco.

We will just have to wait and see what Samsung has in store for us as time gets closer. As MWC approaches it is hoped that the first finalised product, the Galaxy F, will be launched properly.
