Reports have indicated that he wore the "Scream" mask to exploit a loophole in rules about winning a big lottery jackpot.

Identified only as A Campbell, the lottery victor won 158 million Jamaican dollars - or approximately 1.1 million USD - as part of Supreme Venture's Super Lotto.

Last month, a man in Iowa won $1 on a scratch ticket and drove all the way down to lottery headquarters and insisted on being paid out with a massive novelty cheque.

He said, "I looked at my ticket and ran into my bathroom and said, 'I won!"

Campbell said his head hurt and his belly ached for two weeks, wondering if it was true.

Campbell, the Jamaican victor posed with his winning at the Spanish Court Hotel in Kingston last week.

Campbell said his winning numbers - 10, 14, 16, 25, 27 and super ball 5 - came to him in a dream.

Campbell told the newspaper that he knew the deadline to cash out was coming up later in February, but "I just wanted to get myself together before I came forward". I haven't found it yet, but I'll be looking for one soon.

The emoji mask-wearing victor, identified only as N. Gray, won $180 million Jamaican dollars and wore the mask "in response to rampant crime in the country", Sky News reported.

Campbell, the man or woman picked up the cheque in Kingston for $158,400,000 (which equals almost $1.2 million USD) without revealing their identity. "I don't beg, I don't borrow".

"I found out [I won] the same night", he said. Super Lotto that is played in the Caribbean.

Wes Craven's "Scream" is one of the most successful horror film franchises in history after the first movie was released in 1996.
