Halo: The Master Chief Collection PC Coming to Halo Insider

The Halo Insider Program is now open for PC players

With the Halo Collection also arriving on Steam, one Halo fan made a decision to e-mail Newell about the process of getting the Collection on Steam and whether this was an easy task.

At SXSW, Jarrard confirmed that the PC version of The Master Chief Collection will be coming to Halo Insider for players to test out the ports of the games before they are released to the general public. However, PC gamers can already experience the single-player campaign of Halo 3. For example, on PC, 343 might want to test future Halo releases against specific hardware configurations, so not everyone may be needed. "All stats, achievements, Forged maps, and game variants will be shared between all of the games within MCC". He also said that while nothing is guaranteed, the studio is exploring options for adding official mod support some time after launch.

"With MCC on PC specifically, the team is going to need to ensure they have specific representation across a broad matrix of PC hardware configurations", 343 said.

Each game will have a customisable field-of-view slider, although the options will vary depending on the game.

PC Settings: 343 Industries is committed to support uncapped FPS in each title of the collection, as well as FOV-sliders and 144hz+ refresh rates.

The PC version will support Windowed Mode, 21:9, 16:9, 16:10, 3:2, and 4:3 aspect ratios. "Ultimately we want to get these games into player's hands as soon as possible".

If you can't wait for The Master Chief Collection to come to PCs and you happen to have an Xbox One, it's now available on Xbox Game Pass for just £7.99 or $9.99 a month.

Within MCC, yes, your progress and progression will carry-over between the console and PC versions.

If you haven't done it yet, we invite you to join the new Halo Insider Program today to have the chance to get early access to MCC on PC and share feedback with the team.
