Tyler 'Ninja' Blevins Reportedly Paid $1M by EA to Stream Apex Legends

Apex Legends battle pass

How handsomely? According to Reuters, EA shelled out a cool million bucks (or thereabouts) for Ninja to stream Apex Legends on launch day.

Ninja, whose real name is Tyler Blevins, has over 13 million followers on Twitch, so he has a lot of influence over the games people play.

While the source for Reuters claims shroud was also paid, and this is confirmed by his #ad tweets among other statements made by himself, they did not disclose just how much he was paid.

Understandably, there's a lot of excitement around Apex Legends and with the immenent release of the Battle Pass soon players are hungry for information on new content.

Instead of investing money and running a marketing campaign weeks before Apex Legends launched, EA decided that this time it wants to do something entirely different.

So while we can't predict an exact date for the new announcement to land, we can watch out for warning signs and certain days to keep an eye out. "We do not partner with influencers, agencies, or talent who do not support proper disclosure".

Apex Legends by Electronic Arts (EA) is one of the hottest battle royale themed games for consoles and PC right now.

In short, we can't really be sure which Legends (if any) uncovered in the Apex Legends datamining are actually going to make it into the game. With the game being out for less than 2 months, it has managed to achieve a player count of over 50 million players which is another big achievement for the team. If nothing else, the battle pass also might include additional credits to earn, allowing you to earn the character faster.

For now, it appears that Season 1 of Apex Legends is still being worked on, meaning it could offer some new stuff we don't know about.
