Apple's 10 day rally is its longest in more than eight years

2019 iPhones with New Triple Rear Cameras to come in 6.1” and 6.5” OLED screen-sizes: Report

Japanese site, Macotakara, which has a good track record with Apple rumours, has claimed reliable Chinese supply chain sources have said there will be two new iPhone models this year with an 6.1-inch OLED display and an 6.5-inch OLED display. However, the "plus-sized" iPhone 11 will stick to 6.5-inches, as its predecessor did. However, it does note that the new models will be around 0.4mm thicker than the iPhone XS Max. Since iPhones are traditionally a little thick and heavy, this could be a noticeable design change.

Apple is expected to release successors to the iPhone XR, XS and XS Max anytime this year. Initial ideas included a depth-sensing 3D camera, but Bloomberg reports that this has be pushed back and will debut on an iPad Pro model set to release next year. Would you buy a 4.8-inch iPhone with OLED display at $600? Moreover, the 6.1-inch iPhone 2019 will also go against the Samsung Galaxy S10 while the 6.5 inch model of the iPhones 2019 will be around 0.4 mm thinner in comparison to the iPhone XS Max.

Mac Otakara is predicting that both models will be slightly thicker than their current iPhone XS counterparts in order to accommodate the lens unit, which it says will be "larger than the rear camera of the iPhone XR".

Apple is said to adjust the new iPhones' chassis to make way for the new triple-camera setup.

Cameras equipped with a third lens offer potential advantages including increased optical zoom, improved low-light performance, and better photo quality in general because they are able to capture an added amount of light and color data. Besides the dimensions, the report also throws light on the charging port of the upcoming iPhones. As we know, Apple supported fast charging since the iPhone 8 but continued to include an old-fashioned USB Type-A cable and 5W charger for their smartphones.
