Realme X Lite debuts with SD710 SoC and a notch display

Realme X Lite with 6.3-inch display, SD710 SoC, 6GB RAM and dual rear cameras launched in China

OPPO sub-branch Realme launched Realme X, its first smartphone, on the Chinese market on May 15. The phone also comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and Face Unlock support.

Such competitive pricing for a phone that boasts of a 16-megapixel pop-up selfie camera allowing for a wide, immersive display is quite a feat.

The X series phones are equipped with a 3765mAh battery and "VOOC 3.0 flash charging" technology. Besides these, another two Master Editions are there, Onion and Garlic White colors designed by Naoto Fukasawa.

Unlike Realme 3 Pro, you can't expand the storage in Realme X. While the 4GB and 6GB RAM variants feature 64GB storage, the 8GB RAM model ships with 128GB storage capacity. There are three memory variants of this device, 4GB RAM with 64GB storage, 6GB RAM with 64GB storage and the top model 8GB RAM with 128GB storage. On the front, a pop-up 16MP camera is present with Sony IMX471 sensor. The phone has a 6.53-inch Full HD+ 1080p AMOLED display.

On the software side, the Realme X runs on Android 9 Pie operating system based on ColorOS 6.0 UI. It has 4/6/8GB LPDDRX4 RAM and 128GB internal storage.

Realme X offers a 6.53-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with 91.2% screen-to-body ratio. The phone fits comfortably in the palm due to curved back panel and rounded edges.

In the camera department, the Realme X Youth Edition comes with a dual rear camera setup with a 16-megapixel Sony IMX519 sensor with f/1.7 aperture and a secondary 5-megapixel sensor.

As for the other features, Realme X includes USB Type-C port, Dolby Atmos support, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5, GPS. The device comes in Nitro Blue and Lightning Purple colors and will be available soon.

The 4/64GB of Realme X Lite is priced at 1,199 Yuan (Rs 13,000 approx) while the 6/64GB is pitted at 1,299 Yuan (Rs 13,500 approx).

Are you rooting for Realme's odd designs or do you think they're a little too overcooked? Still, the company is stating that it's stepping into the flagship segment with this device, so let's check out what Realme's 10th smartphone release has to offer. This information comes to us straight from the horse's mouth - Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth - who took to Twitter to make the announcement.
