HTC Desire 19 Plus 128GB Expected Specs, Release Date June 2019

HTC has two (mediocre) new phones, proving it's not dead just yet

HTC has already announced to launch the HTC U19e smartphone today in Taiwan. If it does, let's hope HTC would keep the price lower than that for the Taiwanese market. Under the hood, the device comes powered by the 10nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 Mobile Platform coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

For imaging duties, the handset offers a dual rear camera setup comprising a 12-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and a 20-megapixel sensor with an f/2.6 aperture.

We've reached out to HTC to see whether these phones will release outside of Taiwan, and if there's anything else to know about them, so stay tuned to TechRadar to see if HTC can make a smartphone comeback. Similar to the HTC U19e, it also runs on Android 9.0 Pie out-of-the-box. There is also a 2MP Iris scanner for secure unlock. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, NFC, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and USB Type-C.

The HTC U19e has a recommended retail price of 14,900 Taiwanese dollars (~$475), making it more expensive than the $400 Google Pixel 3a. The smartphone will be going on sale in Taiwan starting early next month via HTC as well as major e-commerce platforms in the country. The new colors-moderate green and extraordinary purple-look very attractive. It comes in two variants that include a 4GB + 64GB and 6GB + 128GB option.

Moving on to the HTC Desire 19 Plus, we're looking at a phone with a MediaTek Helio P35 chipset, a 3850mAh battery, and according to GSMArena, a 6.2-inch HD+ display. Talking about the battery, it is fuelled by a 3,850mAh battery on board, which is highest in the history of the Desire series. Last but not least, this smartphone also includes HTC BoomSound speakers with Hi-Fi Ultrasound output.

The HTC U19e features a 6.0-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1080×2160 pixels.

In terms of optics, the HTC Desire+ sports a triple camera setup on the rear with a 13MP primary sensor + 8MP ultra wide-angle sensor + 5MP depth sensor.
