LG G8X Expected To Launch At IFA 2019

LG-G8X-ThinQ

To be precise, LG might plan to launch the smartphone at IFA 2019 which will commence from August 31 in Berlin. If the reports are to be believed, the device will be the successor to the G8 ThinQ that was launched earlier this year. Unlike its predecessor, LG G8X comes with a waterdrop notch on the front with thin bezels on the side with a decent amount of bezel on the top and bottom. The G8X ThinQ will measure in at 159.3 x 75.8 x 8.5mm. At the back, you'll see the same horizontally-aligned dual camera module accompanied by the sensors and an LED flash. While that is expected to be the upcoming V-series smartphone, LG appears to be readying up another smartphone which is reportedly labelled as the LG G8X ThinQ as renders and some information about the device has now been leaked online.

The second major difference is the presence of an earpiece, which suggests LG has ditched its hole-less Crystal Sound tech from the LG G8, which used vibrations to produce sound through the screen. There is no indication of a physical fingerprint sensor on the device hence it should be coming with an in-display fingerprint sensor along with the AI facial unlocking system. The technology vibrates the OLED screen to make it function as a speaker.

The renders show volume rockers on the left side of the phone as well as the dedicated key which LG uses for triggering the Google Assistant. It will be powered via the USB Type-C port and also has a 3.5mm audio jack. We're expecting the smartphone to run on the latest Snapdragon 855 or 855+ chipset under the hood.

Smartphones from the stables of USA tech giant Apple and China's Huawei are also expected to hit shelves in the coming months.
