OnePlus confirms it’s launching a smart TV in September

OnePlus TV Official Name Logo Revealed Ahead of Formal Launch

Chinese technology giant OnePlus is all set to launch the highly-anticipated OnePlus TV.After gathering ideas from the company's fanbase for over a year, OnePlus has finally settled on the OnePlus TV moniker for its first smart TV. Maybe one of the OnePlus smart TVs?

Speaking of the minimal logo design, OnePlus justifies it saying, "We simply added a TV behind our brand logo; however, there's some thought behind it - this is our OnePlus way to show the world that it is our first step to explore the endless possibilities in a broader spectrum". The OnePlus TV will feature smart capabilities coupled with the company's "burden-less" design philosophy to offer users a smooth and connected experience. It pointed out that "the gap between the "+" and the logo edge is twice as the one between the "+" and the letter "T", which is also twice as the one between "T" and "V".

The community manager also unveiled the logo of the product, saying it was inspired by "classic geometric progression such as the ancient Hindu symbol, the mandala".

OnePlus is still a young brand established only a few years ago, but the company is not hesitating to foray into other departments.

This new announcement comes after the recent reports suggesting the OnePlus TV being spotted in Bluetooth SIG submission. OnePlus is rumoured to launch the OnePlus TV in 43-inch, 55-inch, 65-inch and 75-inch sizes.

OnePlus had kept a "You Name It" contest for the television name earlier.

In a forum post, a OnePlus representative also detailed the logo creation process and how the company chose to stick with the familiar company logo and the addition of a TV.
