Vivo NEX 3 5G Launched With Snapdragon 855+ & Waterfall Screen

Vivo NEX 3 5G with Snapdragon 855 Plus, 64MP Triple Cameras Goes Official

Now, at an event in Shanghai, Vivo announced the Nex 3, which is still fighting the same fight: Making the screen larger and bezels smaller.

When it comes to specs, the Vivo Nex 3 has quite a few tricks under the hood, including a few features that aren't available on many 2019 Android flagships. China UnionPay is one of the first partner of Vivo for the finance business and in the future, the company is aiming to introduce more services and will have more partners on-board.

Vivo has finally officially launched the NEX 3 after several months of trickle feeding information about the various new features and technology the company is bringing to the device. Meaning the display screen wraps across the cellphone's edges, additional decreasing the dimensions of aspect bezels.

Huawei, ZTE, and Xiaomi are already selling 5G handsets in China, while Apple's newly released iPhone 11 does not include any 5G capabilities. However, the Nex 3 has no notch or hole-punch digital camera. The edges on the waterfall screen can display a light show when music is being played or a call is received by the phone. It is also the first phone to launch with a "Waterfall Screen" which means the screen is curved on the sides at nearly 90-degrees. In addition, the Nex 3 hides physical buttons from sight in the form of virtual buttons called Touch Sense that work via haptic feedback.

The NEX 3 5G hides physical buttons creating a seamless, touch-controlled unibody design. The 4G variant has 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage while the 5G version comes in 8GB and 12GB RAM models with 256GB of storage.

The flagship 5G smartphone is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 855 Plus, and features a 6.89-inch "waterfall fullview" display, a 64-megapixel main camera and a 4,500 mAh battery to meet 5G power demands. Upfront, the phones are equipped with a 16-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture in a pop-up mechanism. The handsets have a 64MP primary sensor, 13MP wide-angle lens, and a 13MP telephoto lens. There is another variant in the 5G model that costs CNY 6198 (approximately Rs 62,700). While the company has confirmed it will launch in Asia-Pacific, the wider world is still waiting for more news.
