Wendy's To Start Serving Breakfast in the Hudson Valley in 2020

Wendy's to add 20,000 workers to fire up the breakfast grills again in 2020

You can check out my original Wendy's breakfast feature for complete details on breakfast items now available at participating locations.

"Frosty-ccino" is a Frosty milkshake infused with cold brew coffee.

After testing breakfast items, including a bacon sandwich and a honey butter chicken biscuit, at about 300 stores, the fast-food giant is going nationwide. Wendy's could use the boost.

The Dublin, Ohio-based company will spend $20 million this year and help franchisees hire 20,000 employees to support the effort.

It certainly looks like Wendy's plans to be a major player in the competition for your breakfast buck.

Wendy's is set to join the ranks of McDonald's, Burger King, Taco Bell, Hardee's and other fast food outlets that serve breakfast.

This time, it's for the return of Wendy's breakfast.

In 1985, the fast-food company launched a much-heralded breakfast campaign in 3,000 plus stores. Todd Penegor, Wendy's president and CEO, told CNN that the breakfast rollout "provides incredible growth opportunities".

Wendy's will release a full breakfast menu, along with prices, later this year, WTOP said.

"Launching breakfast in our USA restaurants nationwide provides incredible growth opportunities", said Todd Penegor, President and CEO of The Wendy's Company. Attempts have gone as far back as the 1980s, 2006 to 2009 and even 2010, according to a report from restaurant-focused editorial QSR Magazine.

Breakfast foods aren't the only new additions to Wendy's menu.

People interested in applying for a position should visit careers.wendys.com or a local Wendy's, the company said.

Dunkin' Donuts, a chain more customers might naturally associate with breakfast, has experimented with a wide range of different items, too, including breakfast sandwiches and bowls.
