Arsene Wenger says he turned down a return to the Premier League because he feels too emotionally tied to Arsen

Wenger left Arsenal in 2018 following a 22 year run with the club.

Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is interested in a return to club football management and wants to take up the vacant position at Ligue 1 giants Lyon but the club prefer a former Paris Saint-Germain and France manager.

Former Manchester United defender Laurent Blanc is an alternative option for Lyon in case Wenger fails to agree a deal with them.

But speaking ahead of the charity event, Ferguson headed praise on his former rival and now good friend.

"I educated as a coach at the age of 25 and I never changed... moved out of my job, so for me to move out of this job is really hard".

"I think it's disappointing that Ozil with that amount of talent can't find his way into an Arsenal team", Keown was quoted by Metro UK a saying.

'An absolute legend and that's why it's called Legends tonight.

"He's not yet completely adapted and you have to give him some time". So good luck, my blessing with you.

The tributes kept flooding in for Wenger, who is now weighing up his options before stepping into management again. That's about a player wanting to graft and show the other side of his game.

The former French striker said: 'Boss, congratulations, another honour, well deserved. The game misses you, the Premier League misses you.

"An awesome achievement, hopefully we can see you around again one more time on the bench".

His early effort was enough to land all three points from Arsenal and move them up to third spot in the Premier League table.

"You loved the competition".

According to reports in ESPN, Wenger is heavily interested to take up the job as he wants to return to club management. But Arsene always backed me.

The Brazilian said: "I'm sure for him it's been quite hard to see the game from the outside". So Arsene, boss, thank you very much'.
