News anchor interrupted on air by infant son

Courtney Kube was interrupted by one of her twin boys

She was discussing the Turkish air strikes in northern Syria when her four-year-old son, Ryan, snuck up behind her and demanded her attention.

While Kube was momentarily distracted, she quickly returned to the topic at hand.

He then appeared at Kube's elbow, reaching up for her while saying, "Mommy", as she struggled to finish her sentence.

The footage of the segment was posted online by MSNBC's Twitter account with the fun caption, "Sometimes unexpected breaking news happens while you're reporting breaking news".

Kube later explained that her worlds unfortunately collided when, "Breaking news in Syria didn't line up with preschool drop-off, so he and his twin brother were with me".

Courtney Kube - it may not surprise - scored kudos from all corners of the internet for her poise as a working mother.

Another user wrote: "Perfectly handled".

"I couldn't love this more".

"Best part of the programming so far this morning".

However, she remains extremely calm and even smiles on camera. "That's a mom with her priorities straight". She has a master's degree from American University, lives by the beach with her three kids and husband and hopes to own a pig one day.
