Police Respond to Reports of Shooting at New Hampshire Church

Two people with gunshots wounds were transported to hospitals and a third person with minor injuries was also taken to the hospital, Roark said.

Photos of the church showed ambulances, fire and police personnel on the grounds. Geraldo Pagan, who planned to attend the service, told NBC Boston that police had informed him "everything has been canceled".

Roark said the church had just received active shooter training from his department within the a year ago.

The governor of the northeastern USA state confirmed the shooting at the New England Pentecostal Church, a squat white building in Pelham, a town of 15,000.

Bishop Choate and his wife Ruth had been leading the church since 1987.

A man has been charged after a Saturday shooting at a New Hampshire church left two wounded, officials said.

Lowell General Hospital Has received one patient as a result of the shooting. An initial report says that the shooter was held down by parishioners until the police arrive.

WMUR-TV is reporting the police chief has confirmed the shooting at the church.

Pelham is about 40 miles south of Concord, New Hampshire's capital, on the border with MA.

Dale Holloway, 37, is the stepson of 60-year-old Luis Garcia who was shot to death October 1 in Londonderry, Senior Assistant Attorney General Ben Agati said in an email Sunday. Some of the people are personally connected to an alleged murder that happened earlier this month.

The groom was the father of the man charged with killing Garcia, Agati said.

The shooting came just hours before a service was to be held for church minister Luis Garcia who was shot in the neck and killed last week.

A funeral for Garcia had been scheduled for later that day, the Union Leader reported, but mourners were turned away because of the shooting.

The Boston Globe reported that Castiglione was being helped by Garcia but there is no known motive for his death.
