Whats up with WhatsApp? Messaging app disappears from Google Play Store

You cannot install WhatsApp on Android via Play Store, at least for now

Which, in turn, means that WhatsApp didn't completely disappear from the Google Play Store and neither did Google blacklist the app, the report added.

Nine out of the batch of 15 apps used deceptive application icons and names, most of which appeared to have been chosen because they might plausibly resemble an innocuous system app.

While WhatsApp disappeared from Play Store, WhatsApp for Business app was still available.

As a result of a sudden disappearance, those that had been seeking to be part of WhatsApp for the primary time weren't capable of set up it through the Google Play retailer. As TNW noted, for some unknown reason, WhatsApp vanished from the Play Store this morning. However, the app is still available through "My app & games", but while searching for Whatsapp on google play store, it doesn't show the app in the search results.

Notwithstanding the withdrawal, WhatsApp resembles to operate just excellent for now. With that being said, today we are going to check out everything there is to know about the latest Google Play Store update.

Those who want to download the app can still do it from third-party sources by downloading from the APK.

A company spokeswoman declined to share a breakdown of the number of iOS users versus Android users. A WhatsApp spokesperson reached to let us understand the app is now back up on the Play Store.
