Bayern Munich crush Dortmund thanks to Robert Lewandowski double

Arsene Wenger

Arsene Wenger has revealed talks are scheduled with Bayern Munich's Karl-Heinz Rummenigge next week over the vacant managerial position.

Kovac's assistant Hansi Flick has taken over as interim coach as Bayern search for a more permanent replacement, with club president Uli Hoeness saying on Tuesday they expected to name Kovac's successor by November 23.

But it appears Bayern have rejected his advances and opportunity to step back into work because they could not agree on a length of contract, says The Sun. Nobody can talk on my behalf. The success of this club has been built on its exceptional competency, honesty, discretion and simplicity. On Wednesday afternoon, Rummenigge called me. He was in his vehicle to the game against Olympiacos.

This defeat means that Borussia Dortmund have now conceded at least four goals in each of their last five league games away to Bayern Munich.

"He asked me if I would be interested because they are looking for a coach". I told him "I haven't thought about it, I need some time to have a think about it". It needs some time to have a think about.

But the former Gunners manager, 70, told Bein Sports: "We decided together we will talk next week because I'm in Doha until Sunday".

"I wish well to Bayern, which is actually at a turning point because [Uli] Hoeness, a key man for this club, is leaving". Rummenigge will leave in one year, it seems that the future is uncertain.

Wenger wished Bayern "good luck" in finding a replacement for Kovac.
